I'm just returning (slowly) from vacation and one of the things I did while I was away was finish watching the first season of Narcos. The Netflix original series about the life of Pablo Escobar, Colombia's most notorious and dangerous drug trafficker, is incredibly entertaining. Of course, it includes all of the typical drug scenes you would expect, but like other TV dramas, it shows the otherwise more mundane side of the topic in question -- in this case, all the boring stuff that happens in between major drug busts.
I love the research they put into this tv show. The characters mostly resemble their real-life counterparts and it's nice to watch a show almost completely in Spanish (with subtitles). The best part of finishing season 1 is that I get to start on season 2 soon. Can't wait to get back to normal internet speeds in the US.
