Gorgeous shots of an empty China

August 8, 2016

Photographer Bence Bakonyi captured some amazing photos of China, a place with 1.4 billion inhabitants, completely empty and desolate of any living soul. The project was a literal take on Bakonyi's travels through China where he felt quite lonely and ostracized because he didn't speak the native language.

His project called Segue is exactly the sort of stuff I would like to travel to China to take -- although I'm sure I would have a much different experience because I am Chinese.

Mama's Too -- Theres a NYT food critic who keeps writing about this place and raving about it. IT IS NOT GOOD. Not even for the neighborhood. It's a trek for most to get here so let me save you the time: go elsewhere. Also, IN DIRE NEED OF VENTILATION IN THIS PLACE.

Dang. I go away for a few weeks and NY tears itself apart. There used to be a Starbucks and a liquor store here. Now it’s a hole.
2D10 — the only checkered cab left in NYC. This driver told me he did it to stand out and reminisce about his older vehicle. #yellowcab #nyctaxi
