I liked this short video about a NYC skater named Quim Cardona. You might not know his name, but the story goes that he was the original inspiration (and choice) to play Telly in the Larry Clark movie Kids. Seems like a pretty happy and interesting guy.
I had this film on my watchlist for awhile, but after its 20th anniversary last year, it quickly dropped off the radar. I didn't really remember it until just now. The Kids documentary film is directed by Hamilton Harris (the kid who rolled the blunt in the 1995 film Kids by Larry Clark) and is basically a behind the scenes and where-are-they-now look at the real-life personas featured in the Larry Clark film.
The Kids was funded on Kickstarter and eventually went on a small show tour but I have yet to see it. Hoping to catch it somehow -- not sure what their distribution model is. Anybody have any idea of where I can obtain a copy?
