It's Labor Day, so enjoy this soothing video of America in the '70s in glorious color!
Watch this video of Peter Welfare, president and head inkmaker at The Printing Ink Company talking about the long process it takes to make a colored ink. This video is amazing from beginning to end. A great deal of craftsmanship and expertise go into ink making and I can see why this industry skill is needed and justified in the printing process.
How beautiful is this video of paint, oil, milk, and soap liquid? I don't really have much to say except that you should watch it in fullscreen at the highest quality possible. The accompanying gallery of stills is equally as spectacular.
The video was created by Thomas Blanchard.
It's been a while since I've taken a look at some Field Notes. I love them to death but my digital lifestyle just doesn't see me going through as many as I would hope.
But that's not to say that I don't love just about every edition they put out. This latest one called Sweet Tooth includes 3 full-color blocks of paper (from cover to cover) and includes perforated pages! Rip them out, put them up, and tell people something (or remind yourself about stuff!). Available now!
