I've been on a huge explore-NYC-to-death kick lately (even moreso than usual). Last week, Liberty Park, which sits overlooking the World Trade Center memorial site, opened and I visited with my friend Gordon. It's a small park, but it's kind of soothing to be able to walk above the construction chaos and crowds below to just sit, remember, and relax.
The park itself is complete, but there's a decorative floral portion of it at street level that isn't open yet. Go downtown and check it out! Here are some photos.
