OK GO - LOVE
A must-see music video!
Wow. Just wow. On a technical level this music video for OK GO’s “LOVE” is just impressive. Most music videos or movies would be trying to hide the rigs used to obtain shots but this music video incorporates those rigs into the actual video. And as with most OK GO productions, timing plays a huge part in the making of this video.

Sometimes I still am amazed that this song made it onto the radio.
A true moment in time of pop music (yes, it was on the radio). I remember listening to this song a lot but having literally no other music like it in my collection.

I’ve never been to Axpona 2025 and I don’t think I’ll ever find myself at this convention in the future, so it was entertaining to travel there with Danny Pops as he listened to some of the most expensive home stereo systems ever made. Cables off the floor? I’ve never heard of it!

MUTEMATH - Remain
A perfect ending.
I get really sad and emotional whenever I hear this song from MUTEMATH. If I remember correctly, I believe it was the song they released in conjunction with the announcement that they were going on permanent hiatus as a band.
The music video here was uploaded at the start of the pandemic lockdown.
MUTEMATH was my young adult years, the music that played in the background of many memories in my head. I went to their early concerts when they were filling small venues as opening acts and then later when they headlined tours for themselves. There’s something about this particular song that seems like a bookend not only to the band itself, but to a time and place in my own life when things seemed clearer and more sure. I’ve yet to quantify it in words, even for myself, but I think pandemic lockdown messed with my head. This song reminds me a little bit of the time before all that.
