Quiet mornings are nice here. Not sure if it will be like this for long once this hotel gets built. Probably not.
Garage no more...
This happened earlier last week but the garage that used to reside in the lot across the street from my apartment has been completely dismantled. What a way to go. Closed down and almost immediately torn down level by level until only this dirt patch remains.
For as long as I could remember this garage and the adjacent wholesale stores (once a deli) were here and now the city is making way for a high-rise hotel. I'm gonna lose that amazing view of the Empire State Building. :(

Construction Watch: 28th Street and Broadway
It's finally happening. The line of stores long-closed along Broadway between 28th Street and 29th Street are now being demolished. Soon, the garage to the left in the photo will also be razed to make way for...a hotel? We'll see!
