Our President is a true idiot. Australia has universal healthcare. Yesterday, Trump's longtime battle to reverse "Obamacare" went through another successful stage as it passed the House and moved onto the Senate. If passed, the repeal of Obamacare will reportedly put 24 million Americans at risk of losing healthcare.

Well, he's done it now. Obama has finally called out high-ranking Republicans for their lack of backbone when it comes to their party's nominee.

This is President Obama's commencement speech at Rutgers University's graduation ceremony.
Every time I see Rutgers in the news I think about how my life would be if I had stayed there and finished my degree (whatever that was going to be -- maybe art history?). I think about what sort of people I'd be friends with, how I might have enjoyed dorm-life (maybe...) and how I might have easily found myself moving out of NYC by now.
But hey! Different timeline! Maybe they will converge one day.
President Obama's Final State of the Union airs tonight @ 9PM
Tonight is President Obama's final State of the Union Address. The number of ways you can watch it and interact with the speech goes to show just how different government has become in the last 8 years. Just before Obama was elected to office, he ran one of the finest campaigns for office involving the internet and social media by any person before him. It came just at the right time too as the internet was just becoming a place for activists of all sorts to get their views heard on a medium that was still quite new in the political scene.
No candidate before Obama had so much support from the young, tech-savvy crowd. There was even a book by designer Scott Thomas about this (it was on Kickstarter previously but now you'll have to hunt one down if you want to take a look at it -- I own one, you can get in touch with me).
