Nobody is getting driver's licenses anymore

This doesn't really come as a surprise to me but here's yet another article, this time from The Atlantic, that says driver's licenses are on the decline. There are many sides to this, but I believe the decrease in the number of licenses issued is directly related to this generation's understanding that fossil fuels are harmful to the environment and that it is truly expensive to own and drive a car daily.

There are many studies that have shown that people are moving out of the suburbs and into cities where driving is no longer a necessity -- more of a luxury. The Atlantic article mentions something very briefly though that I never considered. Amazon. With the rise in Amazon deliveries especially with prime two-day shipping, there really doesn't exist a need to get in a car and drive to get anything anymore. You can just order it all online.
